Legal or illegal?

Many people still saying that elo boosting is illegal, I’ll try to prove in this article that they are wrong.

Hours spent searching

I spent hours searching facts which would confirm this thesis and I will share with you the knowledge I gained, enjoy reading 🙂

Illegality means that something is forbidden by law of the country, especially criminal law (click here to know more about the concept of crime). Only one country in the world thinks that elo boosting is illegal and it’s South Korea. Elo Boosters in South Korea can receive up to 2 year suspended prison time and fine above 18,000$. What about the other countries?

So, Is elo boosting illegal in other countries?

Spending hours searching the answer I can freely say that Elo boosting is completely legal in every single country in the world, but not in South Korea. Most elo boosting companies like tftboost.net are legally registered and we pay our taxes like every other company, so if we would do something illegal we would close our business, but they don’t doing it, right? That’s why boosting world is legal.

What about elo boosting according to Riot Games?

First of all Riot does not write the law of our countries, so they can’t determine that something is legal or no – that is something what country do. Maybe now you have in your head a question like: “Is elo boosting against Riots Terms of Service and can i get punished or banned for it?”

In the Riot’s Terms of Service (link here) they don’t mention that elo boosting is prohibited. You can be punished only for account sharing, that’s why we use VPN to provide your safety and that’s why we never noticed that our client was banned.

So, is elo boosting illegal? Yes, but only in South Korea and we don’t offer our services for them so there is nothing to worry about 🙂
